The first line in Kim Hye-Jins Novel "Concerning my daughter" reads like this: "The server brings over two bowls of hot udon." And we are thrown into a conversation between a mother and a daughter, full of conflict, uncertainty and quiet displeasure. It will not be the last time that we are confronted with difficult topics over a meal, or refusal thereof.
Between differences and connections, we explore the depth of relationships within and outside of family, unravelling new perspectives.
